:) my happiness pills! :)

i was searching through a pile of books on sale for something to lift my spirits up. first rack, most were suspense/ thriller books. tsk, nothing funny, nothing that would make me smile.. next rack, too educational... still nothing that would lighten things up... then came the next rack, children's books!! as i try to recall the stories of my childhood with pooh, piglet, madeline, peter rabbit, mickey and a lot more, i started getting books for children close to me, my niece, my friend's children... and it really made me feel better.

(sigh) will growing up really make you more serious? more unhappy? no wonder why many people have peter pan as their idol.

a college friend (karisha, miss you!) and i once decided to officially name james taylor's song, your smiling face, our happy song because we both agree that for sure, when it's played, we would feel... what else but... happy

whenever i see your smiling face,
i have to smile myself, because i love you, yes i do!

... no one can tell me that i'm doing wrong today,
whenever i see you smile at me...

and who will ever forget to mention the perfect reminders of past events?! photographs! i was opening folders for a file, then i decided to stop looking for that file and instead open the My Documents folder, subfolder: ABSi- yey! it just feels so wonderful to look at those pictures, testaments of great friendships :)

oh, why am i so much of a person of the past? i sometimes wonder if this is wrong or is it just part of the being of every person (hmm... PH 101 Philosopy of Man) which is why we are made to remember, to reminisce? but i really feel blessed for these memories.

perhaps you can share with me your own happiness pills? that would also make me feel happy ;)

p.s.
hehe, how many times did i mention the word happy in this entry?

there's actually nothing wrong with being a person of the past. it's actually nice to look at ghosts.

'lam mo ba a few weeks ago... after watching "finding neverland", i was again reminded of how much a "peter pan" i am too. i do still read and enjoy children's lit, the same joys i reveled in as a kid hold the same wonder for me now.
i guess it's ok to mature in some aspects and yet still remain childlike in some ^^ easier to keep one's sanity that way, hehe
