for the love of the game

i'm so much of a big fan of the ball, the bat and the bases, yup! softball/baseball. i think i have watched almost all the baseball films that i know. when i was in high school, i watched all the softball games yearly in the intramurals. and this year, i was able to do it again :) when intrams come in our school, teachers don't just go hiding in the faculty room to work on the lesson plans, grades, etc. we're assigned to be watchers for events like rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, softball so when accidents/injuries happen, the students are not left on their own. so, i volunteered to be a watcher for our softball team -- the Syrinx team. i've seen them practice for more or less two months and i've seen them get better each day. those who are members of the varsity team who are in Syrinx knew how to coach their other teammates, teamwork was clearly evident, they did not forget to pray. actual games started last week. i've seen them win, win, win and be champions :) i'm so proud of them!
