cake raffle winner

when i was in gradeschool, our student baranggay would always have cake raffles as a fund raising project. we would buy P1/P2 worth tickets to have a chance to win a roll of cake. raffle draws were done almost weekly and about 10 people go home happy, each cake roll after each draw. i would buy probably 3-5 tickets for each draw but every the name of a winning stub is announced, i would pray very hard that it would not be me. it's not that i don't like cakes. i love cakes! the silly reason behind the silly prayer's because i was very shy to go up the stage, in front of a lot of people even just to receive a prize.

yesterday, i didn't need to go up the stage, in front of a thousand people to have my cake. my truly, wonderful students gave me the cakes (emphasis on the plurality). my first cake came from my II-Sandigan girls last year. i miss you Sandigan 07! the next came from my II-Sandigan girls this year. Sandigan 08, you were very creative yesterday! the third came from two students who graduated last year, who took time out of their busy finals week to drop by and greet me. christine, nicki, you always make me happy. the other cake's from II-Biyaya '08, what a pleasant surprise, girls!

thank you for the cakes! don't worry, i will share them and the joy they bring to the people around me. i would also like to thank all those who remembered, sent text, ym, friendster, multiply, facebook messages, emailed, called, gave smiles, sang, "math danced" and prayed to make my day very special yesterday. they were like a hundred more cakes given. :)
